Connectivity & Security

Atos’s managed infrastructure connectivity and security services provide secure network access to LANs, WANs and corporate resources. Services include firewall management, intrusion prevention and identity validation enabling fixed, remote and mobile personnel to work securely.



Firewall services

Our firewall service includes both monitoring and management of firewalls and management servers within the network. Appropriate access rules are applied in combination with the logging and reporting of denied access attempts to the customer environment. Different types of firewall are supported, including Checkpoint and Pix.



Intrusion prevention services

There are two types of intrusion prevention that may be deployed – network and server. Our service caters for both, through the deployment of network appliances and software. The key to success is to correlate intrusion attempts with inspection of network packet contents. Through these methods, our service significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised or undetected access into the network.



LAN services

Enables the inter-connection of all local hardware including workstations, printers and servers at one or more customer sites. The scope of the service includes switches, local routers, bridges, controllers and structured cabling. These are generally configured to provide high resilience, redundancy and failover while maintaining efficiency of the hardware.



The service proactively monitors the availability and capacity of the LAN infrastructure and, in the event of a failure, faults are managed through to resolution. Regular reports identify potential problem areas and recommend measures to remedy any such issues before they impact on the service.



WAN services

This service provides full monitoring and management of network components in a wide area network, typically comprising leased lines and routers. Monitoring ensures that where component failure occurs, swift action is taken to overcome any immediate impact, perhaps via re-routing, to restore the failed component. The maintenance of routing tables plus network performance reporting ensures optimum traffic flow across the network.



Identity and access management

Our identity and access management service combines processes, technologies and policies to manage digital identities and specify how they are used across resources. It is an effective way to manage online identities and control access to resources. Users can also be provided with single sign-on to multiple applications.



Vulnerability management

Vulnerability management protects a corporate network infrastructure and important digital assets from a possible malicious attack. It provides an understanding of existing risk status and a method of prioritising the company’s key components to manage closure of any potential gaps or weaknesses identified. It is a flexible, scalable solution that is both responsive and proactive.



Data centre

This service enables the connection between wide area networks and host systems located in Atos data centres. The scope includes switches, cables and connections within the data centre that are normally configured to provide high resilience and redundancy.



The service entails proactively monitoring the availability and capacity of the data centre LAN infrastructure and, in the event of a failure, managing faults through to resolution. Reporting and recommendations are based on the available data so that appropriate action can be taken to maintain the required services.



DNS and IP address management

IP address management and maintenance of DNS look-up provide flexibility within corporate networks and enable secure, efficient internet access. This service provides planning, implementation and management of IP addresses and DNS management for the corporate network.



Internet connectivity

A highly resilient, off-the-shelf internet access service enabling online access for customers using standardised connectivity through diverse Tier 1 providers. We offer two services: one with an SLA of 99.9% availability; the second with an SLA of 99.99% availability.



SoHo

Our Small office Home office (SoHo) service enables a user or group of users to access corporate systems and applications while working away from their usual business location. Access methods include a variety of secure dial-up and internet-based options, with encrypted connections for security, and authentication using industry standard RSA type secure ID tokens.



Collaborative working

The collaborative working service provides voice conferencing, web conferencing, audio conferencing and instant messaging. Management of cost analysis and system statistics include short calls, long calls and call pick-up. Business continuity and disaster recovery (DR) solutions are also available where appropriate.



Mobility

Our mobility services provide support for an organisation’s mobile personnel, enabling location independent working, home working and mobile working. The service covers a wide range of devices and technologies including Blackberrys, PDAs 3G, GPRS and traditional pagers.



We offer a full lifecycle, end-to-end service approach from procurement to supplier management, including incident and change management.
