Atos Origin wins UK Home Office Best Example of Collaborative Working award

At the recent Home Office Supplier Value and Innovation awards ceremony, Atos Origin was awarded the Best Example of Collaborative Working, jointly with Fujitsu following their collaboration on the Extend and Blend (E&B) project.
The E&B project is a key component of the Home Office’s Next Generation Information, Systems and Technology (NGISTT) programme. NGISTT addresses the need for improvements in the way the Home Office manages its business. The emphasis is on improving systems and processes, making better use of available information, sharing and re-using assets and driving compliance with common core standards across the Department.
The successful collaboration between the partnership in developing and implementing the E&B project is on track to deliver savings of over £110 million during the lifetime of the contract and an estimated £173 million in efficiency savings.
Denise McDonagh, Head of Home Office IT said “Collaboration is the key to this programme and is the new operational model moving forward.”
