We manage more than 50% of all referrals for initial hospital and clinic appointments in England via our Choose and Book Service . We support more than 30 million MOT tests each year for VOSA . We process 50 million customer interactions a year for NS&I and we support 6.4 million people to complete their tax return online.

The difference

Our support to the public sector is tangible, results driven, and generates better outcomes for the citizen. We enable significant and enduring cost savings and efficiency measures, and improve front line delivery.

  • In 2012, we began a five year integrated and improved IT desktop service to the Department of Health (DoH) and its arms length bodies. The DoH says it will result in savings of around 40% across the life of the contract.
  • We helped HM Revenue and Customs achieve the government’s 10% reduction in carbon emissions target, and significantly contributed to the 13.8 % emissions cut across government between 2010 and 2011.
  • As the Worldwide IT Partner for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games , ‘Atos plays a critical role in ensuring technology continues to enhance the spectator experience’, according to Jacques Rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee.
  • More than 20 million citizens and businesses now transact with government departments using the Atos managed Government Gateway . Among the many available online applications is Universal Credit – a new benefit high on the government’s welfare reform agenda.
