Government in Scotland

Atos understands the importance of services delivered by the public sector to Scotland’s citizens

Atos brings innovative and cost effective IT solutions to the public sector in Scotland. We work with the Scottish Government and non-departmental public bodies to drive down costs while maintaining or improving service delivery for its citizens.

Atos recognises the importance of information technology as an enabler for wider digital transformation across the public sector; whether that be improving patient care or providing new services to citizens across Scotland.

Scottish Government – Digital and Technology Services (DaTs) and Hosting Frameworks

Atos is an approved supplier on both the Scottish Government’s Digital and Technology Services (DaTs) and Hosting Frameworks, which are set up to help the public sector achieve its digital ambitions by harnessing the power of new technology.

The Frameworks cover a range of DaTs and data hosting services including provision of service desks, digital transformation, information and communications technology (ICT) projects, service/system integration, product support, network support, co-location and cloud services. The frameworks apply to central government, health boards, local authorities, universities and colleges, the third sector (voluntary organisations and charities registered in Scotland) and other public bodies.

Enabling local government to transform citizen services

Atos’ largest UK delivery centre – Moray Development and Innovation Centre

In 2011, Atos made a long term commitment to the Moray economy by establishing a Development and Innovation centre in Forres, where we now employ 100 people and deliver digital services to many public sector clients in the UK and across the globe. We are recognised by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Scottish Development International as a leading successful global business services organisation in the area.

Vision and collaboration delivered office of the 21st century

Atos delivered an ambitious overhaul of Highland and Islands Enterprise’s (HIE) office systems and processes. The office of the 21st century introduced Microsoft Lync software, enabling all HIE employees including those from outlying areas to join conference calls and share documents. Laptops replaced desktop, PCs, and remote access to office files allowing their workforce to work more efficiently offsite to serve their clients.
