Information Security

Information Security involves keeping abreast of evolving cyber threats and identifying new and sophisticated methods of detecting them

What you’ll be doing

Atos provides secure IT systems to organisations across the globe, including defence and security organisations, as well as the Olympic Games. You’ll help us safeguard our infrastructure and data systems and preserving the security of our customer's information. The role will involve keeping abreast of evolving cyber threats and identifying new and sophisticated methods of detecting them across our customer's IT estates.

Working in a virtual matrix environment, across both sandbox and live settings, you will advise on risk mitigation, deploy and configure security solutions, analyse and reduce cyber threats and vulnerabilities, and co-ordinate our responses to cyber incidents. This could involve participating in server builds and documentation (operating system drops), software deployments, lab exercises and projects, training and handover exercises and break/fix exercises where possible. Along the way, you will build your expertise in the Windows operating system, Linux, Active Directory, networking, firewalls and standard office applications, whilst you progress towards ISC2 certified practitioner status.

Why apply?

Constantly learning and being challenged, you’ll make your mark within the fastest-evolving sector within IT. As this discipline becomes ever more important, so will you, becoming one of the most sought-after professionals in the technology sector. Supported by formal training courses and on-the-job support from leading experts in Network Security at Atos, you’ll work on some of the most high-impact, critical projects you can imagine.

Essential skills

You will need to be able to demonstrate a strong interest in this area, as well as a logical approach to problem identification and resolution. A controlled approach to delivery to project timescales is vital, due to the nature of our work, and you’ll need the ability to work independently using your own initiative, to think creatively and develop innovative ideas that will enhance or improve delivery quality.
