This programme will see you being assigned to live projects – maybe two or three in total depending on duration – each lasting up to 12 months. These assignments will give you plenty of opportunities to develop the specialist design and analysis skills you’ll need for a future career as a business analyst, technical architect, project manager or technical consultant. We will bring graduates into a variety of teams depending on your background and interests – including software development and testing, customer support, business intelligence, data management giving you the opportunity to grow into a designer, technical architect, business analyst, project manager or consultant in the future.
What will I gain?
The live projects you get involved in will give you a solid grounding in specific technical areas. We’ll also support you to attain relevant technical qualifications in specific computer languages, ISEB Software Testing or Business Analysis – and you’ll have access to a wide range of other industry-recognised training, refreshers, certificates and qualifications.
What do I need?
2:2 or above in a maths or science-based subject. Most of our programming is done in Java or .NET. Some knowledge of these will be an advantage, but we’ll offer extensive training as well. .
Where will I be based?
You’re likely to be based in Beeston (Nottingham), London, Reading or Runcorn initially, but you should be flexible enough to move around the UK.
Year placement students
Over the course of two six-month placements you’ll develop expertise on the projects you’re working on. We see these placements as an important pipeline for students wishing to join the graduate programme later. There is an element of sponsorship available for successful interns on their return to university – and it’s also possible for exceptional interns to move direct to a full-time job with us on graduation.
