Put simply, you’ll learn how our business works. Over the course of four six-month placements around the business you’ll cover four key areas – for example: recognition and reward; recruitment; grievance and disciplinary; or appraisal and performance. Following this, you’ll be perfectly placed to develop your career as a generalist or to specialise in one of your placement areas.
What will I gain?
As well as a thorough generalist HR grounding, we’ll sponsor you through your professional HR qualification from the CIPD.
What do I need?
2:1 or above – or a master’s or relevant work experience. We’re looking for talented students who can show us a business or management focus – although your degree could be in any discipline. An understanding of organisational psychology would be very useful.
Where will I be based?
You’ll be based in London, but you’ll need to be flexible, as some placements may require UK travel or require you to be based elsewhere for the duration.
Interns
Twelve-month placements are also available for this business area, based in London or the Midlands. The placement will see you focus on one or two projects in the areas above. We see this as a great audition for people who are interested in joining our graduate programme once they’ve completed their studies.
Please be aware that applications for this graduate scheme have now closed for 2012. If you are interested in this graduate scheme and wish to apply in the future we will begin accepting applications for the 2013 graduate scheme in Autumn 2012.
