Whatever your background, skills and ambitions, our graduate programme is designed to give you the challenges and opportunities you’re looking for.
Different programmes offer different experiences, of course. Some give a selection of rotations in different areas, while others focus on a single particular area, allowing you to develop deep technical expertise. But whichever programme you choose, you can expect plenty of training, development and support, including:
A choice of mentors, and informal support from our buddy system
Industry recognised training and development
Work shadowing opportunities – both of peers and senior staff
Regular conference calls to discuss top business issues
An opportunity to give something back with our charity challenge
An end-of-programme awards ceremony to recognise success
What are we looking for?
For our graduate programme, you’ll need to have (or be expecting to achieve) at least a 2:2 degree – although some roles do require a 2.1 (or equivalent). But beyond academic results, we also look for a number of important qualities in all our graduate joiners.
Good all-rounders
As well as a desire for business exposure and responsibility, you’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a great team player, and will preferably have previous customer facing experience. Planning and organisational skills are also desirable.
A proactive, flexible approach
To succeed here, you’ll need a friendly personality, plenty of initiative and also a pragmatic approach. You’ll be good at building relationships too, and bring high levels of commercial awareness and motivation. The programme involves frequent changes of project, so you should be flexible about where you work within the UK.
Commitment to delivering
It’s crucial that you share our absolute determination to deliver what’s been promised, and to do that on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
Strong business motivation
This is a large and complex corporate environment, so it’s important that you appreciate everything that’s necessary to operate here. You’ll also need to be inspired by profit and competition, and committed to creating customer satisfaction by making things happen.
Communication skills
The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively is a must, as is a willingness to seek feedback, to listen and to understand other viewpoints.
Innovation
You’ll be the kind of person who continuously seeks to improve your personal skills. You’ll seize opportunities to challenge yourself and take the lead on your own professional development and growth.
